Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how LockNote ("the app", "we", "us") handles your information. We built LockNote to be private by design: your notes stay on your device, and we keep data collection to an absolute minimum.

1. Information we do not collect

LockNote does not require an account to use. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or location, and we do not sell or share personal data with third parties.

2. Your notes and content

The notes, tasks, and text you create are stored locally on your device. Your note content is used to generate a Lock Screen image and is not transmitted to our servers. You can export your notes to a JSON file or delete your note history at any time from the app's Settings.

3. Lock Screen and Shortcuts

LockNote uses Apple Shortcuts to set your Lock Screen wallpaper. The wallpaper image is generated and applied on your device. We do not have access to your wallpaper, your other shortcuts, or any data processed by the Shortcuts app.

4. Purchases and subscriptions

LockNote Pro is sold through the Apple App Store. Payments, renewals, and refunds are handled entirely by Apple under your Apple ID. We never see or store your payment details. To verify entitlement, the app uses Apple's StoreKit, which provides purchase status without revealing your personal payment information. 5. Diagnostics

If enabled at the operating-system level, Apple may share anonymous, aggregated crash and performance diagnostics with us to help improve the app. This data is not tied to your identity and never includes the content of your notes.

6. Children's privacy

LockNote is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
